Safari and Zanzibar Holiday 8 days/7nights


The itinerary starts at Kilimanjaro Airport, JRO, and ends on Zanzibar airport.

Day by day itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha
Our representative will pick you from arrival point and then take you to the Moivaro Coffee Lodge in Arusha. Your tour organizer will come to introduce you to your driver guide and short briefing about your schedule plan. Dinner will be served on same place, with your Safari starting tomorrow.

Day 2: Departure to Lake Manyara and Ngorongoro
Leave at 9.00 am to Lake Manyara National Park with Picnic Lunch and a game drive in the park. In the afternoon we head to Ngorongoro, where we overnight in a Lodge. Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge or Ngorongoro Farmhouse (Karatu).

Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater
Early morning game drive (with a picnic lunch) inside the Ngorongoro Crater. As very few animals migrate in and out of the crater with its 2000 ft. high walls, you can expect to see lions, elephants, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, rhinos, antelopes, many birds and other species.

In the afternoon optional walking Safari on the crater rim. Overnight at a Lodge at Ngorongoro, Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge or Ngorongoro Farmhouse (Karatu). All meals included.(Note: on that day it is also possible to do a full day walking Safari in the Olmoti or Empakaai Crater, in the Ngorongoro Highlands)

Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha
Early morning game drive in the park, then we drive back to Arusha. Dinner and overnight in the Moivaro Coffee Lodge.

Day 5: Zanzibar
After breakfast you will be transfered to Kilimanjaro airport for your flight to Zanzibar. After arrival on Zanzibar we will do the Spice Tour on the way to the East Coast. You will learn about Spices and herbs Zanzibar is famous for. Overnight in the Breezes Beach Club on the East Coast.

Day 6 & 7: Beach Hotel Zanzibar
Relax and enjoy Zanzibars East Coast around the Breezes Beach Club. There are lots of watersports activities you can do.

Day 8: departure
After breakfast we will bring you to the airport.


Honeymoon package 11 Days/10 Nights

This itinerary starts at Kilimanjaro Airport, JRO, and ends on Zanzibar airport.

Day 1 Arrival in Arusha

Day 2 Departure to Lake Manyara
Your Safari starts with the drive to Lake Manyara. Nestling at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment, the park is recognized for its incredible beauty. You can see many game animals such as Buffalo, Elephant, Giraffe, Impala, hippo and others. Overnight at E Unoto Retreat at Lake Manyara. All meals included

Day 3 Serengeti
After breakfast you start on your way to Serengeti National Park. A picnic lunch will be provided. On the way you will stop at the Olduvai Gorge where anthropologists Louis and Mary Leakey made many significant discoveries, contributing to the theory that human life originated in Africa. After stopping for your picnic lunch on a kopje (rock outcropping) in Serengeti you will continue further into the park and go on a game drive. Overnight Serengeti Sopa Lodge or our luxury tented campin the Serengeti. All meals included

Day 4 Serengeti game view
Early morning game drive in the park then back to the lodge for lunch, afternoon game drive in the Serengeti, dinner and overnight at Serengeti Sopa Lodge or our luxury tented camp. All meals included

Day 5 Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast drive to Ngorongoro Crater. After checking in to your lodge, perched high on the crater rim, and enjoying lunch, you will descend the crater walls and spend the afternoon and early evening viewing wildlife on the crater floor. Overnight at Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge at Ngorongoro. All meals included

Day 6 Ngorongoro Crater
Early morning game drive (with a picnic lunch) inside the Ngorongoro Crater. As very few animals migrate in and out of the crater with its 2000 ft. high walls, you can expect to see lions, elephants, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, rhinos, antelopes, many birds and other species. Your Driver/Guide will be in contact with other safari drivers and will amaze you with his skill at locating the hidden animals.
In the afternoon walking Safari on the crater rim. Overnight at Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge at Ngorongoro. All meals included

(Note: on that day it is also possible to do a full day walking Safari in the Olmoti or Empakaai Crater, in the Ngorongoro Highlands)

Day 7 Visit of a Masai village, then proceed to Arusha
After breakfast we will visit a Masai Village at Lake Manyara, then proceed to Arusha, and overnight in Moivaro Coffee Lodge. All meals included

Day 8 Zanzibar
After breakfast you will be transfered to Kilimanjaro airport for your flight to Zanzibar. After arrival on Zanzibar we will do the Spice Tour on the way to the East Coast. You will learn about Spices and herbs Zanzibar is famous for. Overnight in the Matemwe Bungalows (or similar).

Day 9- 10 Beach Hotel Zanzibar
Relax and enjoy Zanzibars East Coast around Matemwe Bungalows. One day we'll head to Mnemba Island, fantastic for snorkeling. From the sailing boat often you can see dolphins.

Day 11 Departure

Greater Northern Circuit Safari 13 Days/12 Nights

This 13 days northern circuit Safari covers all major highlights of Tanzania, furthermore you will have lots of opportunities to meet with local communities.


Day 1 ARRIVAL
You will be met at the airport in Arusha (JRO) by your Driver/Guide and our representative. We will take you to the Mount Meru Game Lodge (or similar) at Arusha for a free day, with your Safari starting tomorrow. Dinner.


Day 2 Lake Manyara
The driver/guide will pick you up at 9am, then you’ll drive across the floor of the Great Rift Valley to Lake Manyara National Park for a game drive. This beautiful park with it’s lush vegetation and tropical forests of giant fig and mahogany trees, takes its name from the Maasai word for "euphorbia tirucalli", a bush which is used to make a thorny hedge to protect their cattle. Elephant, giraffe, buffalo, zebra and a variety of antelope inhabit the park as well as a variety of monkeys and a large population of hippo’s. If you are lucky you may see the Manyara lions, well known for their tree climbing habits, lazily resting on the branches of an "Acacia tortilis" tree. The birdlife is also abundant, with flamingoes, pelicans, hornbills and plenty of forest species.
Overnight at E Unoto Retreat. All meals included.

Day 3 Lake Natron
In the morning drive to Lake Natron, passing the active volcano Oldonyo Lengai! At Lake Natron check in in the Lake Natron Tented Camp, then we’ll visit the lake with its flamingoes. All meals included.

Day 4 Serengeti
After breakfast you start on your way to Serengeti National Park, crossing Loliondo Game Reserve. Overnight at our Mapito tented camp Serengeti in the Serengeti. All meals included.

Day 5 Lake Victoria
Game-drive to Lake Victoria. In the afternoon drive into the nearby hills to take a look at rural Africa, passing through the small villages of the Sakuma people, who grow cotton, ground nuts, sorghum and cassava as well as keeping livestock. Life carries on simply as it has done for centuries, but with a few poignant reminders of the 20th Century! See the local school and take a stroll to the top of a small kopje.
Overnight at Speke Bay. All meals included.

Day 6 Serengeti
In the morning walking tour, then return to the Serengeti, to another full day game drive close to the migration. Overnight at our Mapito tented camp Serengeti in the Serengeti. All meals included.

Day 7 + 8 Serengeti
Two full day of game drives around Serengeti. Depending on the time of year and the migration of the herds you can expect to see wildebeest, lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, monkeys, baboons, hippos, rhinos, antelopes and many birds and other species. Your Driver/Guide will be in contact with other safari drivers and will amaze you with his skill at locating the hidden animals.
Overnight at our Mapito tented camp Serengeti in the Serengeti. All meals included.

Day 9 Ngorongoro
After breakfast we depart for Ngorongoro. On the way you will stop at the Olduvai Gorge where anthropologists Louis and Mary Leakey made many significant discoveries, contributing to the theory that human life originated in Africa.
A fternoon game drive in the crater. As very few animals migrate in and out of the crater with its 2000 ft. high walls, you can expect to see lions, elephants, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, rhinos, antelopes, many birds and other species. Overnight at a lodge at Ngorongoro/Karatu, Ngorongoro Farmhouse. All meals included.

Day 10 - 11 Tarangire
After breakfast we depart for Tarangire, Tanzania's third largest national park and sanctuary for an unusually large elephant population. Majestic baobab trees are an interesting feature of the park, dwarfing the animals that feed beneath them. Animals concentrate along the Tarangire River, which provides the only permanent water supply in the area. There is a great diversity of wildlife including lion, leopard, cheetah and up to six thousand elephant.
Overnight two nights at Tarangire River Camp. All meals included.

Day 12 Arusha
One final morning game drive before leaving. In the afternoon we will reach Arusha, were we overnight at the Mount Meru Game Lodge. All meals included.

Day 13 Departure

Luxury Safari and Zanzibar 15 Days/ 14 Nights

Taking in the wonders of Ngorongoro Crater and the famed Serengeti National Park, Tarangire and the tree lions of Lake Manyara, and ending on the exotic island of Zanzibar. Enjoy luxury camping deep in the bush staying in large tents with private verandahs and full en-suite facilities. Between mobile camps you will relax at a small lodge on an old coffee plantation, and in a fabulous lodge on the edge of Ngorongoro Crater. Transportation is by modified 4WD Land Cruisers and you will be escorted by experienced Tanzanian safari guides.

DAY 1 ARRIVE TANZANIA
Arrive at Kilimanjaro Airport where you will be met by our representative, and transferred to Mt. Village Lodge. The Mountain Village Lodge is situated on a coffee plantation with views of Mt. Meru and Kilimanjaro. Your accommodation will be in one of the charming stone cottages sit amidst beautiful gardens overlooking Lake Duluti. Overnight - Mt. Village Lodge or similar. Dinner.

DAYS 2/3 - TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast, you will depart by road to your private tented camp, situated at the boundary of Tarangire National Park. Tarangire, Tanzania’s third largest national park is known for it’s majestic baobab trees that dot the landscape, dwarfing the animals that feed beneath them. The park supports a great diversity of wildlife, especially during in the dry season of July to Novmeber, when the Tarangire River provides the only permanent water supply in the area. During this season wildlife , including up to 6.000 elephants concentrate along the river.
For a cultural experience, walking in the area and visits to some neighboring tribes is offered. Maasai live in the area as well asthe Datoga, another tribe of semi-nomadic pastoralists who migrated into this area many decades ago, looking for good grazing land. The Dataoga have resisted neighbouring tribes' cultural infiltrations. The women, still wear fat treated goatskin gowns and carve their faces and bodies to beautify themselves . Learning about their history is as fascinating as the views are breathtaking from the several hilltop peaks in the area. Overnight - Tarangire Treetops or similar. (all meals included).

DAY 4 - TARANGIRE - LAKE MANYARA - GIBB'S FARM
After breakfast you’ll drive across the floor of the Great Rift Valley to Lake Manyara National Park. This delightful farm is situated on the outer slopes of Ngorongoro Crater and is renowned for their friendly service and excellent cuisine.

DAY 5 - NGORONGORO CRATER
This morning your drive takes you the short distance to the "eighth wonder of the world", the Ngorongoro Crater, the largest unbroken caldera on earth. The floor of this collapsed volcano spreads for 102 sq. miles and the walls are 2000ft high, a truly awesome sight. The crater floor is a virtual "Noah's Ark", inhabited by almost every species of wildlife indigenous to East Africa including the black named lion and the endangered black rhino. The crater contains a river, several swamps, a soda lake - complete with flamingoes, a forest and open plains. With a picnic lunch you will descend the crater walls and spend the afternoon and early evening wildlife viewing on the crater floor. , returning to your lodge in time for a sundowner on the verandah.
Your lodging for the next two nights will be at the Ngorongoro Serena Lodge. Perched on the edge of the crater, this beautiful lodge affords panoramic views of the crater floor. Overnight - Ngorongoro Serena Lodge or similar (all meals included).

In the evening a hike is possible to the coffee plantation or to the water fall. Overnight - Gibb’s Farm or similar (all meals included).After a game drive and a picnic lunch in the park you’ll depart for the Ngorongoro highlands and your overnight accommodation at Gibb's Farm.

DAY 6 - NGORONGORO CRATER
After an early breakfast you will depart for a half day of wildlife viewing on the crater floor (where from July 2006 only half day game drives are possible)
On this day you can visit Empakaai and Olmoti Craters instead of Ngorongoro Crater game drive, less famous and less visited, but very interesting for Walking Safaris off the beaten track.
Overnight - Ngorongoro Serena Lodge or similar (all meals included).

DAYS 7/8/9/10 - SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast depart for Serengeti National Park with a stop enroute at Oldupai Gorge. Oldupai is the famous archeological site where the Leakeys discovered remains of Australopithecus, Homo Habilis and Homo Erectus, bringing crucial understanding to the study of the evolution of the human species.

From Oldupai you’re off to the “Great Serengeti”, likely the most famous wildlife sanctuary in the world. The vast Serengeti plains cover an area of over 14,763 square kilometers and during the months of the migration, is the habitat of huge numbers of wildebeest, zebra and Thomson’s gazelle with estimates of up to 1.5 million. From December through March they concentrate at the Ndutu and Salei plains, where the calving season takes place, attracting the attention of predators like lion, cheetah and hyena. In June and July they move into the western corridor and in October and November the herds can usually be found in the northern Serengeti. The Serengeti "Kopjes", massive boulder islands of granite standing in a sea of grass, provide shelter to a great variety of plants and animals, from the elusive leopard to the tiny dik dik.

You will spend four nights in a luxury private camp, set in a wilderness area, depending on the season and movement of the animals. Overnight - Luxury Private Camp (all meals included).

DAY 11 - SERENGETI - ARUSHA
Today you’ll enjoy a final gamedrive across the Serengeti plains enroute to the Seronera Airstrip where you will board the scheduled flight to Zanzibar. On Zanzibar transfer to the Breezes Hotel (or similar). Breakfast and dinner.

DAY 12 - 14 BEACH HOTEL ZANZIBAR
Relax and enjoy Zanzibars Beaches. Besides relaxing there are lots of watersports activities you can do there, like sailing, diving and snorkelling. Overnight in the Breezes Hotel or similar. Breakfast and dinner.

DAY 15 ZANZIBAR - STONETOWN
Today we will transfer you to your hotel in Stonetown. On the way we will do the Spice Tour. We have developed a special Spice Tour with in depth information not only about spices, but also organically grown herbs and a detailed description about their traditional uses in medicine cosmetics and cooking. After the tour we invite for an opulent lunch at our guides' home, where you can taste the spices and fruits.

Serengeti, Selous, Zanzibar 17 Days/ 16 Nights

This Safari covers the highlights of Tanzania: the migration in the Serengeti, the stunning Ngorongoro Crater and the wild and adventurous Selous Park. At the end of this trip you will stay in a beach hotel on Zanzibar.

Day 1 ARRIVAL

Day 2

Overnight at a Lodge at Ngorongoro. All meals included

Day 6

After breakfast, transfer to Arusha airport and flight to the Selous Game Reserve. Dinner at Selous Mega Camp. All meals included.

Day 9
After breakfast full day game drive in Selous park until evening, then drive back to Selous Mbega Camp for Dinner and Overnight. All meals included.

Day 10

After breakfast a morning walking Safari along the Rufiji River. In the afternoon boat safari. Overnight at Selous Mbega Camp. All meals included.

Day 11
After breakfast, transfer to the airstrip and connecting flight to Zanzibar. Transfer to Shooting Star Lodge. All meals included.

Day 12– 16
Enjoy and relax at the beach. Indulge in the many activities offered, including water sports, tennis, fitness and many more. Overnight at Shooting Star Lodge. Half Board.

Day 17
After breakfast transfer to airport.

Kilimanjaro, Safari and Zanzibar 18 Days/ 17 Nights

Day 1 Arrive in Arusha Kilimanjaro Airport.
We'll meet for an introductory briefing by our representative upon our arrival in Arusha, before transferring you to the Moivaro Coffee Lodge for the evening.

Day 2 Kilimanjaro Climb - Arusha to Machame Camp.
Early in the morning we'll transfer you to the Machame Park Gate. After registering with the park authority, we'll begin our climb through the lush forest. We'll continue on to some beautiful heath land before reaching our overnight camp at Machame Camp (10,000 feet, 6-7 hours of walking).

Day 3 Kilimanjaro Climb - Machame Camp to Shira Camp.
Today's part of the ascent will continue across the heath land and alpine moorland with magnificent views of Kilimanjaro Peak. Overnight at Shira Camp (12,500 feet, 6-7 hours of walking).

Day 4 Kilimanjaro Climb - Shira Camp to Barranco Camp
We'll draw nearer the peak as we pass the Lava Tower. The trek becomes a bit more strenuous as the trail steepens on the approach to our overnight stop at Barranco Camp (13,800 feet, 5-6 hours of walking).

Day 5 Kilimanjaro Climb - Barranco Camp to Karanga Valley Camp
The day will begin with a descent into the Gorge, before we climb its eastern wall where we will enjoy views of Kilimanjaro's ice fields, an equatorial anomaly. We will continue trekking until we reach our camp in Karanga Valley (13,900 feet, 4-5 hours of walking).

Day 6 Kilimanjaro Climb - Karanga Valley Camp to Barafu Camp
We'll trek up through the Karanga Valley, following the lava ridge to the Barafu camp (15,500 feet, 6-7 hours of walking), where we will overnight.

Day 7 Kilimanjaro Climb - Barafu Camp to Summit to Mweka Camp
Just after midnight, we'll begin our summit attempt, passing between the Rebmann and Tarzel glaciers to the rim at Stella Point. As dawn nears, we'll summit at Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa at 19,340 feet. Uhuru will be the culmination of - and the reward for -- 6-7 hours of strenuous hiking. We'll then descend back to Barafu Camp, resting for a while before continuing our descent to Mweka Camp (9,840 feet, 3-4 hours of walking on the descent).

Day 8 Kilimanjaro Climb - Mweka Camp to Park Gate, Transfer to Arusha
On our final day we just descend to Machame Gate, where our car waits for you. After bidding our farewells to our guide and porters transfer to Moivaro Coffee Lodge, for relaxation. (2-3 hrs walking)

Day 9 Start of Safari: Ngorongoro Crater
Your Safari starts with the drive to Ngorongoro Crater. Your Driver/Guide will make several stops along the way at various places of interest, including a stop at the edge of the escarpment overlooking Lake Manyara. After arrival in Ngorongoro you will descend into the crater for a game drive at the bottom. As very few animals migrate in and out of the crater with its 2000 ft. high walls, you can expect to see lions, elephants, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, rhinos, antelopes, many birds and other species. Your Driver/Guide will be in contact with other safari drivers and will amaze you with his skill at locating the hidden animals. Overnight at Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge at Ngorongoro. All meals included

Day 10
After breakfast you start on your way to Serengeti National Park. A picnic lunch will be provided. On the way you will stop at the Olduvai Gorge where anthropologists Louis and Mary Leakey made many significant discoveries, contributing to the theory that human life originated in Africa. After stopping for your picnic lunch on a kopje (rock outcropping) in Serengeti you will continue further into the park and go on a game drive. Day 11
A full day of game drives around Serengeti. Day 12
After breakfast we head to Lake Manyara. Nestling at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment, the park is recognized for its incredible beauty. Day 13
Early morning game drive in the Lake Manyara, then drive back to Arusha. Overnight in the Moivaro Coffee Lodge. All meals included.

Day 14
Flight from Arusha airport to Zanzibar in the morning. On arrival on Zanzibar we will bring you to the Matemwe Beach Village (or similar), or upgradeable to 5 Star Hotel. Enroute we will do the Spice Tour. Overnight at the beach hotel of your choice. Breakfast and dinner.

Day 15-16
Relax and enjoy the beaches of Zanzibar. There is a wide range of water sport activities you can do, like snorkeling, scuba diving, boat trips and more. Breakfast and dinner.

Day 17
Transfer to Stonetown, Tembo Hotel. Here we will show you this ancient town on our Historical Stone Town Tour, where history appears to stand still. With visits to the House of Wonders, the Palace Museum (People's Palace), Dr Livingston's House and the Arab Fort amongst others, it is a fascinating look at the essence of Zanzibar. You will see Zanzibar's bustling market, winding alleyways, ornately carved and studded doors, two cathedrals and countless mosques!
Alternatively you can do a boat tour to Prison Island, the Safari Blue or a private island trip (full day, extra costs).
Overnight Tembo Hotel . Breakfast and dinner.

Day 18
transfer to the airport or harbour Zanzibar.
