


GORILLA TOUR ITINERARY
Day 1: ARRIVAL AT THE AIRPORT
you will be met on arrival at the airport by our safari guide and then transfer to Kigali. Get briefed about your safari and then after lunch leave for Volcano national park . The journey to the north goes through the beautiful terraced hillsides that show much of Rwanda’s landscape, gradually climbing to the base of the awesome Virunga volcanoes; sometimes five peaks can be seen. Overnight and dinner at Mountain gorilla view lodge(FB)
Day 2: WALKING TOUR & VIEWS
Wake up and have breakfast, then you go for walking in Parc National des Volcans, this magical experience takes you about an hour and then visit Ross Carr's orphanage, visit the local school and community projects. After that you will be back at your lodge for rest and relax at Mountain gorilla view lodge(FB)
Day 3: MOUNTAIN GORILLA TRACKING
early morning, you will go gorilla tracking in Parc National des Volcans. Tracking the gorillas through the light mountain forest on the slopes of the Virungas is a wonderful experience. Incase you are lucky; you can get to see the gorillas, spend an hour with them, and get back at the lodge in time for a late lunch. Some gorilla families however are more mysterious, and tracking can take a full day, especially when it is wet and muddy. Overnight and dinner at Mountain gorilla view lodge(FB)
Day 4: CITY TOUR AND RETURN TO NAIROBI
following breakfast, you will leave for Kigali. Go for a City tour including visits to the market, a pottery project, handicraft shops, the Franco-Rwandan cultural centre and the genocide memorial. Have lunch enroute and then Transfer to the airport. Arrive on time and transfer to Serena hotel.
Day 7: LAKE NAKURU to AMBOSELI
Depart Lake Nakuru in the morning for Amboseli National Park arriving Amboseli Serena Lodge in time for lunch. The park is famous for its big game and great scenic beauty whose entire landscape is dominated by Mt Kilimanjaro. Afternoon game drive, Dinner and overnight at the lodge,

Day 12:SerengetiNational Park
After breakfast head out to the bush for migrations viewing at Serengeti Plain nearly to Ndutu area, game drives with picnics then later in the evening return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay atSerengeti migration campF/B
Day 13:Full day in Serengeti National Park
Another day to enjoy a full day exploration of wildebeest at the Serengeti, Morning after breakfast enjoy another full day game activities at kirawira circuits or any place your driver will discover there’s the great population of wildebeest migration. Your lunch will be served while on game drives, and then after good dinner you will get preparation for night game driving and this will be out of the park we will spend two hours for night game driving then back to your tented camp for overnight atSerengeti migration campF/B
Day 14:Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast leave the camp early morning drive to Ngorongoro conservation area , Venture down to the crater floor, and take this fantastic safari experience in this extraordinary ecosystem, viewing high concentrations of zebra, gazelle, impala, wildebeest, and many other animals who are all bound by the crater walls. Then picnics will be served in side the crate, after lunch you will proceed with afternoon game view after that ascend to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay atNgorongoro Serena lodge. sopa lodge onF/B
Day 15:17th Feb 2012 - Ngorongoro walking Tour
After breakfast you will meet with your guide and proceed with full day for walking tour in the Ngorongoro Crater, while the highlight of the experience, is the centerpiece of the much vaster expanse of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, the rolling highlands of which create a fantastic area to explore on guided walks and drives. This is the domain of the Maasai pastoralists, and a stunning area of natural beauty to explore. Then picnics will be served in side the crate
All Safaris from the Africa Joy Tours are guided by expert rangers, who are also able to explore the phenomena of the surrounding area, including the ancient sands of Olduvai Gorge, site of the earliest known examples of hominid footprints, often called the ‘Cradle of Mankind’, and a strange, rather random sand dune known as the Shifting Sands. Day 16: Ngorongoro to Arusha
After a good start with breakfast we leave Ngorongoro and drive to Arusha, we visit cultural heritage and then your picnics lunch will be served at shanga restaurant which will be hot lunch after that we will proceed to Arusha, at Impala Hotel for dinner overnight.
Day 17:Arusha – ZANZIBAR
Breakfast in your hotel then at 1045hrs transfer to Arusha airstrip for a scheduled flight depart for Zanzibar at 1100hrs, meet with our staff at the airport or Seaport and transfer to Tembo hotel for dinner and overnight, booked on half board basis. HB
Day 18: 20th Feb 2012 - TOUR IN ZANZIBAR
-Breakfast in your hotel followed by excursions from your hotel to (Spice farm and Town tour). Lunch en-route then late afternoon returns to Serena hotel for dinner and overnight. HB
Day 19: STONE TOWN- EAST COAST
Breakfast in Tembo hotel, then transfer to the East Coast of Zanzibar for relaxation on the white sand beaches of the Coastal Breezes Beach Club. Dinner and overnight in the resort. HB
Day 20 & 21: Leisure at beach Rest and relax at leisure on the white sand beaches of the Coastal resort. All meals and overnight at Breezes Beach Club booked on half board basis. HB
Day 22: - ZANZIBAR – NAIROBI –AUSTRALIA
After breakfast check out from your hotel and transfer to the airport or seaport for your flight or sheep back home,

NOTE: Fees for mountain gorilla permits:
With effect from 1st June 2007, the fee for gorilla visits will cost US$500 per person for non-nationals, US $250 for foreign non residents and 20,000 Frw for Rwandan citizens. This is inclusive of park entry fees. It is advisable to organize your own transportation to take you up to the park boundaries.
On the day of you are scheduled to trek, you must present yourself for briefing at the ORTPN offices situated at the prefecture offices in Musanze at 7:00 AM. ORTPN currently has a team of 80 trackers and anti-poachers, many of whom speak French or English.

Mountain gorillas live at high altitude and this may cause difficulties for some visitors. You should pace yourself, walk slowly and drink plenty of water. No one should feel deterred from making this trip.
